Cell Level Changes in Child Mortality Over Time

Here we show the cell level changes in 5m0 child mortality over time. The changes between the 1980s and 2000s are presented in both levels (deaths per 1,000 child-years) and rates (% change). The rates of change are also used to estimate 'hot spots', areas that are not on pace to meet long term reduction goals. Areas in blue have seen reduction in child mortality over the study period while areas in red have experienced increases. Mortality in white areas has remained stable.
