In this study, we aimed to provide novel perspectives on progress in under-5 mortality reductions by mapping and analyzing sub-national levels and trends in under-5 mortality across sub-Saharan Africa. We used information from demographic surveys to map variation in under-5 mortality at a fine spatial scale across three decades. Here we provide a platform for interactive visualization of the data we have developed. The data are also available for download following the link at the top of the page.
